I have always felt a deep connection to the mountains and the natural world, and nowhere touches my heart more than the breathtaking landscapes of Tateyama in Toyama.
Tateyama changes beautifully with each season — from the pure white silence of winter snow, to the delicate alpine flowers blooming in summer, to the dramatic seas of clouds spreading beneath the peaks. Meeting the rock ptarmigan, a Special Natural Monument of Japan, is always a special and unforgettable moment. Every time I walk these mountains, I feel inspired, and it is my greatest joy to share these experiences with my guests.
As a certified Nature Guide by the Japan Mountain Guides Association, I not only guide safely but also help visitors understand the stories behind the landscape — the powerful forces that shaped the mountains, the unique geology, and the resilient alpine plants that survive in this harsh yet beautiful environment.
From Tatetana to the World-Sharing Nature that Touches the Hearts
Beyond Tateyama, I also guide guests through the scenic Unazuki Gorge Railway, the historic villages of Gokayama, Zuiryu-ji Temple in Takaoka, the stunning “Spring Quartet” in Asahi Town, as well as Kanazawa, Shirakawa-go, and Takayama.
My hope is that every guest leaves not only with beautiful photos, but with a deeper appreciation and lasting connection to Japan’s natural beauty.
