National Treasure – Zuiryuji Temple – “Spring Light-up and Markets” 国宝瑞龍寺「春のライトアップと門前市」

Zuiryuji transforms into a surreal place of sound and light!!

A springtime event in which Toyama prefecture’s sole national treasure, Zuiryuji Temple, is lit up in a brilliant show of lights. This light-up performance however, does not merely involve shining lights on Zuiryuji and surrounds, but also uses music and a variety of different colored lights, such as red, blue, green, purple and more. The sight of Zuiryuji Temple amidst this show of sound and light is breathtakingly beautiful. Moreover, the markets which are held in parallel are called the “Flavors of Etchu Market”, and there are a truly diverse variety of stalls which attract crowds as though it was a festival.
