A Showa-era whiskey distillery with an array of experiences
Since 1952, Wakatsuru Saburomaru Distillery has been producing small batches of award-winning whiskey. Visitors can take an intimate look behind the scenes at the whiskey manufacturing process and learn about the facility's history. The distinctive atmosphere of the Showa era can be seen and felt in the building’s architecture and elegant interior.
With stills and fermenters made of Takaoka copper, this distillery in Tonami City truly showcases a regional approach to liquor production. Also on the premises is Reiwagura, an experiential facility where guests can purchase Wakatsuru whiskey and related merchandise, sample different Wakatsuru products, and enjoy fusion cuisine.
