Shinminato Bridge 新湊大橋

Enjoy the magnificent view while driving!

On sunny days, you can enjoy an unbroken view of the Japan Sea, the Tateyama mountain range and the Noto peninsula from the bridge. Additionally, you can view the permanently moored Kaiwomaru sailing ship at the neighboring Kaiomaru Park from above. The total length of the bridge (including the arch portion) is 3.6 km. The height of the main tower that supports the bridge is 127 m, and the main part that crosses above the ocean is 600 m long. It is the largest cable-stayed bridge on the Sea of Japan! Please enjoy the fantastic views as you drive along! This bridge is constructed so as to have two stories. On the top of this bridge is a roadway, and on the bottom is a pedestrian walkway. We also highly recommend the view from the pedestrian walkway (known as the 'Ainokaze Promenade')!
