In addition to being an amazing and interesting species to look at, the firefly squid has traditionally been enjoyed as a delicacy in Toyama and other parts of Japan. In the museum, you can try several different styles of cooking featuring the firefly squid, as well as find products made with the famous deep sea water of Toyama Bay.
