A magical night at a world heritage site

The Ainokura village light-ups offers visitors an opportunity to gaze upon an authentic Japanese village with a feel of magic in the air. Ainokura village reveals a different face each season, making you want to visit again and again.
There are several light-up events held throughout the year, including the “Lingering Snow” light-up in March, the “Suidensakasa” (water reflection) light-up in May, the “Yosuzumi” (night cooling) light-up in July, the “Inaho Hasagake” (rice harvest) light-up in September and the “Fuyushitaku” (preparation for winter) light-up in November. Enter a different world each time you visit. The magical, beautiful scenery is sure to steal your heart.
* During the Inaho Hasagake light-up in September, a live folksong performance will be held from 19:30.
* At the Fuyushitaku light-up in November, visitors can participate in setting up snow barriers (for a fee) between the hours of 13:00 and 16:00.
