Red snow crab lined up for sale... You can feel the atmosphere of midday fish auctions, a rarity in Japan, at the Shinminato fisherman’s wharf.

The Toyama Buri Kani Bus line is currently in operation, allowing you to board from JR Toyama Station and enjoy the specialties of Toyama Bay – crab, yellowtail, white shrimp and much more! After eating your fill, take in the atmosphere as you stroll along the bay. You can enjoy the sight of the Tateyama Mountain Range over the bay from many angles as the bus takes you across the Shinminato Bridge and up the Amaharashi coast.

It is now easier to watch the midday fish auctions at the Shinminato fisherman’s wharf.
